Twitch is a video live streaming service that focuses on video games and other content. Many people have turned to Twitch as their full time job and make a living playing video games.

If a streamer can make content outside of Twitch on other social media platforms they become discoverable. Picture a Youtuber who after each time they upload a video the next day they shut down their channel until the next video comes out.

How many views they get on Twitch per stream doesn’t matter, what matters is what happens after it ends. They must be able to continue to have viewers and gain new followers on the days they aren’t streaming.

It is very rare for someone to network their way into 1000+ viewers. While networking isn’t a bad thing, it is important that new streamers don’t make it their number one priority. They should still make connections and friends but must remember to not put all their eggs in one basket.

They should focus on growing their own content and building their community. They shouldn’t have to rely on someone else to bring in new viewers and gaining popularity.

Most streamers have remember that companies talk and usually what they talk about is streamers who are blacklisted. Companies of famous gaming brands have actually expressed their annoyance of all the emails they receive.

Something Twitch streamers should take into consideration is that just because they spam tweet at a new game or company, they won’t always leave a good first impression. They won’t care about streamers who are asking for free products for their 5 viewers.

One shortcut that some streamers have done and have received the repercussions for is Discord Royale Streamers/Lurk for Lurk platforms. In these platforms Twitch streamers basically watch other streamers to gain points.

Once they receive enough points they become a higher tier and can now have other streamers view their own streams. Several companies have actually been reached out by these streamers and once they see that their apart of that community, they become blacklisted.

Streamers have to remember the importance of Just Chatting. Even if they primarily gaming streamers they must realize that the people in chat are their not just to view their content but build a relationship with them and gain their attention.

Just Chatting for the viewer is basically being acknowledged by their favorite streamer. Twitch streamers who actually put in the effort to connect with their fans and respond to questions don’t always realize just how important that can be for them.

Final Thoughts

There is always something new to learn everyday. Twitch streamers have to learn new things after each stream in order to stay relevant and connect with their fans. This article was made with the intention of halping new streamers start of their Twitch Channels right.
