How To Customize Your Twitch Channel! - Twitch Bio, And Panel Essentials!

Welcome to FrankLegend.com where we review the most viral content online. Today we will discuss how How To Customize Your Twitch Channel! This article is for anyone who is curious on how streamers customize their channel and what they can add.

Twitch is a video live streaming service that focuses on video games and other content. Many people have turned to Twitch as their full time job and make a living playing video games.

If you go to any Twitch Channel description and click on “About” you will see their whole Twitch About Page. What streamers have to do in order to edit this is to simply click on Edit About & Links. There they will be shown a preview of what they have and options on what they can add.

The bios they can add are up to 300 characters and a display name. Underneath that is a series of social links they can add as well. They can write their social names from other platforms such as Twitter, drop the link in and hit save.

With having a limit of 300 characters it is important that Twitch streamers make their bio short and snappy. They must remember that anyone who reads their bio will get an instant grasp of the creator. One common way to write a bio is to simply introduce themselves and their experience.

It is important for streamers to make themselves relatable to the viewers. One way they do this is by writing why they got into gaming and their experience with it for example. They could even share an embarrassing story to show that they aren’t afraid to poke fun of themselves.

First, streamers must click on the Edit Panels button in their Twitch page. This will open up their editing section where creators can upload images and write descriptions. They also have the privilege of being able to use many designs to choose from already there.

One that every streamer should have is “About Me” this way they can give more information about themselves, their interests, hobbies so the viewers knows what to expect. Other panels that streamers need are “Rules”, “Custom Alerts” and “Questions” to name a few.

One way streamers make money passively is by adding a Tips Panel NOT a DONATION PANEL! By having a Tips panel it’s much easier to avoid people charging back against PayPal. It is ALSO very important that they use a Business PayPal and not their personal one.

The reason they do this is to protect their personal information from being leaked. The second most common way they make money passively is by affiliate links. They usually add links to where their fans can buy mics, laptops etc. and by clicking the link the streamers receives a bit of payment.

Markdown is in Edit Panels and helps a streamer add symbols on certain places to tell Twitch that a certain text needs to be Bold, Italic or imbedded. For example by adding two ** in start and end of a sentence** they can make it Bold.

Doing this makes the text stand out from the rest and show that it is important. By clicking on MARKDOWN they will see all the basics and what they can do. Streamers can also add a single *before and after* to make their text italic.

Twitch Streamers can only add 3 panel extensions so its important to pick wisely. To use Extensions all that they have to do is go creator dashboard and search what they want. Stream labs leaderboard is one panel that is used to tracking top emotes, top chatters and gifs.

Emote showcase is used to show the fans what emotes they can receive if they follow and sub. As as showing what tier each emote belongs to. Stream labs schedule is important to use so that the streamers fans know when they will be own and how long they have to wait.

Final Thoughts

It is important to stand out above the rest when it comes to Twitch. While it may be difficult due to the fact that there is much competition, remember that no two Twitch streamers are the same. Once a streamer learns what makes them different and entertaining they must use that to their advantage.
